Hi All,

Now that Google is discontinuing Less Secure Apps for
g-suite users (sometime in June I think), have any of
you guys come up with a command line method of sending
eMail through OAuth2?

Many thanks,

I was concerned about this because I have a couple of legacy G-Suite
accounts, but nothing happened - at least so far. If you find difficulty
signing into mail check https://myaccount.google.com/lesssecureapps to
check the setting there.

Hi Anthony,

That is what I have been doing.

Two things are happening.

1) Google threatened to stop Less Secure Apps (LSA)
for g-suite, but not gMail users, in July 2020.
So far, they have not followed through. :'P

2) Google keeps sending around these "security checks"
that ask the user to disable LSA. And they say it
all scary so the user will fall for the nonsense.
Then I have to trouble shoot and figure out why the
various eMail utilities do not work, such as Cobian's
eMail reports and ESET/Kaspersky eMail warnings.

I tell the users not to turn LSA off, but it goes in
one ear and out the other.

It would be capitol if I could just find a command
line eMail that supported OAuth2. I have a request into
Raku (Perl6), but no progress so far.
